Betting on Euromillions

A lot of people may think that Betting on EuroMillions is a new concept but bookmakers have been cashing in on this over the last couple of months. The main point you need to think about is why you Play the EuroMillions. If you are like the majority of players and see the EuroMillions a way to win a life changing amount then you may wish to stick to playing the actual EuroMillions but if you are wanting to make a profit, then betting on the EuroMillions may be more suited to you.

As you can see from the table above you can get a return by successfully betting on just one Euromillions number. The idea behind this is that you pick one number that will be drawn out and if that number matches one of the numbers that make up the EuroMillions draw, you win. You can then take this to the next step by betting on more than one number to be drawn out up to a maximum of five. It's important to note however that when betting on the Euromillions you can only win if you successfully match ALL the numbers on your line. So playing 5 numbers may seem like good odds compared with playing the normal Euromillions Lottery but it is in fact an all or nothing gamble as matching 4 or less numbers would not give you a return.

At first these odds may seem a little strange compared to what you will win on the Euro Millions by matching the same numbers but with betting on the EuroMillions draw you are betting on an actual number to come out instead of picking 5 numbers and hoping you match 2 or more.

Euro Millions Bets

There are a number of different types of bets you can place with the easiest being the straight bet, which allows you to bet on your selected numbers being drawn out. Firstly you have to select the number of balls you wish to play and then select the amount you wish to stake on this.

For example – you select that ball number 10 will be drawn out and want to play for a £1 stake, this would cost you £1. If number 10 was one of the EuroMillions numbers drawn then you would make a £8 profit.

You can also place a number of multiple bets on each draw by selecting to play more than one line.

For example – You select ball numbers 10, 11 and 12 to be drawn out, you then have the option of placing the following bet:- singles, doubles,  treble, Trixie or Patent.

To work how much your total stake would cost, you will have to know the number of bets involved with each type of bet. Therefore, if you played the above number and want to place a Patent, this would be seven times your stake. This bet is made up of three singles, three doubles and a treble

Different Types of Multiple Bet

Single = One bet
Double = 1 bet but both selections have to come in
Treble = 1 bet but all three of your selections have to come in
Trixie = 4 bets made up of 3 doubles and a treble – you need a minimum of two of your selections to come in to see a return
Patent = 7 bets made up of 3 singles, 3 doubles and a treble – you only need one selection to come in to make a return
Yankee = 11 bets made up of 6 doubles, 4 trebles and an accumulator – you need two of your selection to come in to see a return
Lucky 15 = 15 bets made up 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and an accumulator – you need one of your selections to come in to see a return.
Canadian = 26 bets made up 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 fourfolds plus an accumulator – you need two of your selections to come in to see a return
Lucky 31 = 31 bets made up 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 fourfolds and an accumulator – you need one of your selections to come in to see a return
