Big Wedding Plans for EuroMillions Winners

The owners of the single ticket that won the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 7 February have decided to go public, so we can now tell you that they are Casey Carrington and Mark Topham of Nottingham, England. The couple have been together for more than three years and were planning to have a budget wedding this September, but now that they are €54.25 million (£45.16 million) richer, they can afford to make their big day better than ever. And because they are both just 22 years of age, Casey and Mark can now look forward to living their married lives immune to many of the financial pressures that most other young couples have to contend with.

Tuesday 7 February didn’t look like it was going to be a particularly fortunate day for Casey and Mark. First, Mark’s computer broke down, and that was quickly followed by the washing machine breaking down – not the kind of thing they might have expected to happen on what would eventually turn out to be the luckiest day of their lives. Of course, when the couple later matched the five main numbers and two Lucky Stars that are required to win the EuroMillions jackpot, those earlier hassles suddenly seemed quite trivial.

Having said that, the first item on Casey and Mark’s shopping list is a new washing machine, closely followed by a new computer. They then intend to buy a new car for Casey (an Aston Martin, no less) and build themselves their dream home. Other plans include sharing some of their wealth with family members, and this will include buying a new house for Casey’s parents.

Winning a EuroMillions jackpot at any time of life is a tremendous achievement, but when the win comes at the very beginning of a young couple’s life together it is even more worthy of celebration. We are therefore delighted to congratulate Casey and Mark on their win and wish them a long and happy life together.

For everyone else who plays lottery games, the EuroMillions jackpot rolled over last Friday so there is a jackpot of around €21 million (around £18 million) to play for this Tuesday 14 February. Buy your EuroMillions tickets online today if you want to get involved and good luck!
