British Ticket Wins Another EuroMillions Jackpot

One British ticket won the €54.25 million (£45.16 million) EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 7 February, and that followed a British win of €48.89 million (£40.62 million) on Friday 20 January, giving the UK two massive rollover jackpot wins in the last three weeks. The winner, who is not yet known, beat odds of 1 in 116.5 million to match the five main numbers 03, 15, 17, 28 and 33, as well as the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 04. Players in the UK will undoubtedly be hoping that their lucky streak continues, whilst EuroMillions fans in other countries will be hoping just as fervently that it doesn’t!

British players weren’t so lucky as far as the second-tier prizes were concerned on Tuesday because although 9 tickets matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €135,772 each, none of them were purchased in the UK. There were 11 winning tickets at the third tier, and each of those matched five main numbers only to win €37,029 (£24,842) each. The total number of prizes won was 2,245,032, and the Millionaire Raffle game in the UK made one player £1 million richer with the number VCW368117.

There have now been three EuroMillions jackpots won in 2012, which is pretty good when you consider that we are only six weeks into the year. If the game can continue creating a new rollover jackpot winner at the average rate of one every two weeks then that would be fantastic for players everywhere. Of course, winning a regular jackpot of €15 million would be pretty good too!

One of the main numbers drawn on Tuesday (the number 15) was previously highlighted as being ‘overdue’ to make an appearance. That means the most overdue main numbers are now 08, 35, 32, 46 and 41, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 03 and 07. The jackpot in the next EuroMillions game this Friday 10 February will be worth €15 million (around £12 million) so we will have to wait and see if any of those numbers help someone to win it. We expect that British players will also be quite keen to see if their country can land three EuroMillions jackpots in a row!

Wherever you live, play EuroMillions online today and you may soon be able to celebrate your own jackpot win. Even if that doesn’t happen you will have a 1 in 13 chance of winning a consolation prize for every ticket you purchase, so think positive and good luck!
