EuroMillions Jackpot Sets UK Record

The EuroMillions rollover jackpot last Friday 8 October was won by a single ticket purchased by a player in the UK. No details of the winner are yet known, but we do know that the jackpot was worth €129,818,431, which is £113,019,926 for the UK winner. This makes it the biggest lottery win that the UK has ever seen, beating the previous record of £84.4 million which was set in May of this year (also by a EuroMillions winner) and proving once again that EuroMillions is one of the biggest lotteries in the world.

The latest EuroMillions jackpot winner hasn’t yet come forward to claim their prize, so UK lottery officials are urging everyone to check their tickets against the EuroMillions results just in case they are sitting on a fortune. We can probably assume that the winner of last Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot neglected to play EuroMillions online, because if they had done so the lottery organiser would know exactly who had purchased the winning ticket and an email would already have been sent to the lucky player.

The results for last Friday’s draw were 09, 30, 35, 39 and 46, with the numbers 06 and 08 being drawn as the Lucky Stars. The Millionaire Raffle number, which made another UK player £1,000,000 richer, was PXV227093.

Nine EuroMillions players won a second-tier prize of €766,168 (around £521,015) by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. 19 players matched the five main numbers but neither of the Lucky Stars and each won €102,991 (around £70,037) as a result. As for those who matched four of the main numbers and both Lucky Stars, there were 208 such players and each won €6,719 (around £4,570).

Our EuroMillions Statistics page reveals that the most overdue main numbers (taking into account the most recent results) are now 20, 14, 10, 23 and 43, and the most overdue Lucky Stars are 02 and 07. Whether any of those numbers help someone to land the €15 million (around £12 million) EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 15 October remains to be seen.

We congratulate the record-breaking EuroMillions winner in the UK and wish everyone else the best of luck in winning themselves a big lottery prize this week. As well as the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday you can also have a go at the SuperEnalotto game which has a jackpot of €160 million – the next draw takes place on Tuesday 12 October. Good luck!
