EuroMillions Results Scupper Jackpot Hunters

Jackpot hunters who were hoping to win the €21.8 million (£18.8 million) top prize on Tuesday 26 February had their plans well and truly scuppered by the EuroMillions results because no entry was able to match all seven of the numbers drawn. That means there has been just one jackpot winner in February and the first game of March will now offer a double-rollover jackpot that is expected to be worth around €32 million (£27 million) this Friday.

So what were the EuroMillions results that frustrated those trying to land a jackpot on Tuesday? Well, the main numbers were 03, 12, 13, 17 and 30, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 06. The main number 13 had been highlighted on our Statistics page as being one of the most overdue to be drawn (it was actually the second most overdue main number) and although it didn’t help anyone to win the jackpot it did help plenty of people to land a consolation prize.

The biggest consolation prize of the night was worth €1,029,097, and that went to the owner of one EuroMillions ticket that succeeded in matching all five of the main numbers as well as one of the Lucky Star numbers. There aren’t many lottery games that are able to give consolation prize winners millionaire status, but the second-tier prize won on Tuesday shows that EuroMillions is one of the few that can – a fact that should encourage anyone who likes to play the game with a view to winning big money!

11 tickets matched five main numbers only to win a third-tier prize of €31,185 (£20,108) each, whilst 81 tickets won €2,117 (£1,365) each by matching four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars. Another 1,042 tickets matched four main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win a fifth-tier prize worth €144 (£92) each. The total number of prizes won in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday was 2,032,979, and in the UK Millionaire Raffle game one player matched the number BGF146517 to win a prize worth £1,000,000.

Will the month ahead give us more EuroMillions jackpot winners than we had in February? Only time will tell, but if you want to be in with a chance of landing the €32 million double-rollover jackpot this Friday, you had better secure your tickets early to avoid the last-minute rush.
