EuroMillions Rolls Over to Friday

EuroMillions rollover fans didn’t need to wait very long for their next chance to play for a super-sized jackpot because no player matched all five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars in the draw on Tuesday 17 May. The EuroMillions results in the midweek draw were 20, 21, 37, 45 and 46, and the Lucky Stars were 02 and 03. The value of the next jackpot this Friday 20 May will therefore be worth around €25 million, which equates to around £22 million for players in the UK.

Time remaining:

Three players matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star in the game last Tuesday to win a second-tier prize of €331,137 (around £228,831) each. Six players matched five main numbers with no Lucky Stars to win €55,190 (around £38,305) each, and 28 players picked up a prize worth €5,913 (around £4,104) each for matching four of the main numbers plus both Lucky Stars. The Millionaire Raffle number (worth £1 million to UK players only) was FTN319292.

Now that the EuroMillions game has 13 prize levels instead of the original 12, the number of EuroMillions prizes won each week has soared. In all lottery games, ticket sales for midweek draws tend to be lower than they are for draws held on Fridays or Saturdays, but even after taking that into consideration the EuroMillions game is performing very well indeed. The total number of prizes won last Tuesday was more than 1.39 million, and it is almost certain that even more prizes will be won in the game this Friday.

Some EuroMillions players are surprised that after three draws with the new rules in place, neither of the additional Lucky Star numbers (10 and 11) has made an appearance. This really shouldn’t surprise anyone, because the odds of either one of those numbers appearing are 2 in 11, or 18%, and the odds of any individual Lucky Star appearing are 1 in 11, or 9.09%. We can’t therefore consider any Lucky Star number to be even remotely ‘cold’ until it has been absent for at least eleven draws.

We are pleased that the EuroMillions game is living up to the expectation of giving us more rollover jackpot opportunities, and we are looking forward to seeing what happens this Friday. Play EuroMillions online today and good luck with that €25 million jackpot!
