First EuroMillions Triple Rollover of 2013!

The first EuroMillions triple rollover of 2013 was seen on Tuesday 22 January when no ticket entered for the game succeeded in matching all seven of the numbers that were drawn. Triple rollovers aren’t exactly rare in the EuroMillions game but they are always exciting because they attract the attention of casual players and can therefore help subsequent jackpots to grow exponentially. The next jackpot this Friday 25 January is expected to be worth around €44 million (around £37 million), so those of you who didn’t win big in the last game can now have a go at making your EuroMillions dreams come true in time for the weekend!

The main numbers drawn on Tuesday 22 January were 01, 10, 44, 45 and 48, and the Lucky Star numbers were 01 and 04. There were two tickets that won a second-tier prize of €538,246 (£389,124) each by matching all of the main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers. Five tickets matched all of the main numbers but neither of the Lucky Stars to secure their owners a prize of €71,766 (£51,883) each, whilst another 33 tickets picked up a fourth-tier prize of €5,437 (£3,931) each by matching four of the main numbers and both of the Lucky Star numbers.

Every line of numbers entered into the EuroMillions game has a 1 in 13 chance of winning a prize of some kind, and that means plenty of winners regardless of what happens at the highest levels. Tuesday’s game is a great example of that, because the total number of prizes won across all levels exceeded 1.5 million. When you consider the fact that Friday draws are generally more popular than their Tuesday counterparts, and that this Friday’s jackpot will be worth a colossal €44 million, you will understand why we can confidently predict that even more prizes will be won in the next game.

Players in the UK pay a little extra for their EuroMillions tickets than players in many other countries and that is because every ticket issued (whether online or offline) bears a unique Millionaire Raffle number. One prize of £1 million is won by the owner of the ticket that matches the number drawn in the separate Millionaire Raffle draw, and on Tuesday the lucky number was NBV801959.

Congratulations to all players who managed to land themselves a prize on Tuesday, whether it was the Millionaire Raffle prize just mentioned or a consolation prize in the main EuroMillions game. Tickets for the triple rollover jackpot draw this Friday are expected to be in much higher demand than usual, so click here now to buy tickets online and you won’t have to worry about missing out. Enjoy the game and good luck with your numbers!
