Jackpot Cap Remains for EuroMillions

There were no jackpot winners in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday 7 August, so the jackpot cap of €190 million (around £148 million) remains in place for the next game this Friday. That means any money over and above €190 million in the jackpot prize pool will roll down to the highest non-jackpot prize tier that has winners. And if the jackpot itself isn’t landed this Friday, the whole value of the jackpot prize pool will roll down. Excited yet? You should be!

The EuroMillions results for Tuesday 7 August were 20, 27, 34, 46 and 50, with the numbers 02 and 03 appearing as the Lucky Stars. The actual value of the EuroMillions jackpot prize pool was slightly higher than the €190 million allowed, so the difference was rolled down to those who matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. That gave seven second-tier prize winners a bumper consolation prize of €2,318,241 (£1,736,317) each.

There were 21 winning tickets at the third-tier level, and each of those won €54,277 (£40,653) by matching five numbers only. 92 tickets won €6,195 (£4,640) each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, whilst 2,213 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €225 (£168) each. The total number of prizes won was 5,173,206, and in the UK the winning Millionaire Raffle number (worth £1 million to the player with the matching ticket) was HDH137638.

None of the ‘most overdue’ numbers according to our EuroMillions Statistics page made an appearance on Tuesday, so maybe one or more of them will show up this Friday. Of course, it is just as likely that one of the most picked numbers will appear, so if you fancy including any of those among your selections the main numbers to consider are 50, 12, 04, 19 and 14, and the most picked Lucky Stars are 03 and 05.

To say that EuroMillions fever is sweeping the world doesn’t come close to describing the level of excitement that has been reached, so it is especially important to buy your tickets early in order to beat the rush. Play EuroMillions online and you won’t even have to queue!

Enjoy the game this Friday and good luck with the €190 million jackpot!
