Millionaire Maker is the New Name for Millionaire Raffle

Millionaire Maker will be the new name for the additional EuroMillions game Millionaire Raffle from Friday October 31st. The game, which involves players matching a special code drawn in a supplementary game with the one automatically generated on their EuroMillions ticket in order to win £1 million, will continue to be played in the same way, but there will be the opportunity to win luxurious non-cash prizes in addition to the cash.

In March 2014 an application was made to the National Lottery Commission by the operator of EuroMillions in the UK to change the name of the Millionaire Raffle to Millionaire Maker and for permission to provide non-cash prizes. The proposal was accepted and comes into action on Friday 31st October, which has also been designated as the first Mega Friday draw.

Whereas the prize for a regular Millionaire Maker draw will remain at £1 million, Mega Friday sees non-cash prizes awarded as well as money. On Friday 31st October, 25 ticket holders will win a 14-night stay on the beautiful, private Makepeace Island in the Noosa River on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Winners will fly business class with up to seven guests, transfer from Brisbane airport to Makepeace Island via helicopter and stay in exclusive villas where all of their meals will be provided and they will receive £50 per person per day to spend on drinks.

Whilst on the island, the winners will be allowed free boat transfers to local attractions, enjoy a sunset cruise, receive two spa treatments and attend the island manager’s cocktail party. They will also have free use of all of the island’s facilities, including the outdoor cinema and tennis courts. This amazing prize should ensure that winners become used to the millionaire lifestyle without even having to spend any of their winnings!
