One French Ticket Wins EuroMillions

A lottery ticket purchased in Calvados in France won the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 13 September. The jackpot was worth €162,256,622 (£140,822,522) and the results which made the French ticket the outright winner were 09, 28, 30, 32 and 49, along with the Lucky Star numbers 09 and 10. The win brought a run of twelve consecutive rollovers to an end and so the EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset to €15 million (around £12 million) for the next game this Friday 16 September.

Although the French jackpot winner had the biggest cause to celebrate on Tuesday, there were also some hefty consolation prizes won by players who came close to matching all of the numbers drawn. Six players won €372,269 (£246,962) each by matching the five main numbers along with one Lucky Star and another five players matched the five main numbers alone to win €148,908 (£98,785) each.

There were 87 winning tickets at the fourth tier level and each of those won €4,279 (£2,839) by matching four of the main numbers plus both Lucky Star numbers. In total more than 3.52 million EuroMillions prizes were won, and in the UK one player matched the Millionaire Raffle number VMZ049534 to win £1 million.

As we said earlier, the next jackpot in the EuroMillions game will take place this Friday 16 September and will have a default value of €15 million (around £12 million). Players who want to include one or more of the ‘most overdue’ numbers among their selections will be keen to note that the most overdue main numbers are 43, 41, 29, 11 and 40, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 06 and 03.
