The EuroMillions Jackpot Has Landed

The EuroMillions Jackpot Has LandedThe EuroMillions jackpot landed in the lives of two lucky players on Friday 8 June, one who had purchased their winning ticket in Belgium and the other who had purchased their ticket in the UK. The EuroMillions numbers that brought an end to a series of eleven consecutive rollovers were the main numbers 05, 11, 22, 34 and 40, and the Lucky Star number 09 and 11. The jackpot was worth €158,052,844 (£127,675,087) and so each of the two winners receives exactly half of that amount, giving the Belgian winner €79,026,422 and the UK winner £63,837,543.

24 tickets matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win a hefty consolation prize of €144,240 (£102,892) each, and although that isn’t anything like winning a half-share of €158 million it’s still a considerable win. 38 tickets matched the five main numbers without either Lucky Star number and they won €30,366 (£21,661) each.

As always, the number of winning tickets increases as you climb down the prize tiers. There were 128 winning tickets at the fourth-tier level, and each of those won €4,508 (£3,215) by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. 2,719 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €185 (£132) each and more than 5.74 million other tickets won smaller prizes. In the UK, the EuroMillions ticket bearing the Millionaire Raffle number MSH095096 won a prize of £1 million.

Well done to everyone who won a EuroMillions prize on Friday and congratulations in particular to the two jackpot winners. The jackpot in the next game this Tuesday 12 June will be worth €15 million (around £12 million) so, if you haven’t yet won a major prize, be sure to play EuroMillions online and it could soon be your turn!
