Will the UK’s Run of Big Winners Continue on Tuesday 29th September?

EuroMillions fans across the continent will be setting their sights on a jackpot of £10 million (€15 million) on Tuesday 29th September, and players from the UK may be feeling particularly confident following a fantastic run of success in the last few months.

UK ticket holders dominated the last draw as one participant matched all five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars to scoop a jackpot of £35.1 million. The lucky ticket holder has yet to come forward, but officials have insisted they are not worried as it could just be they are on holiday or taking a bit of time to digest the news before claiming the prize. There were also five Millionaire Maker winners as part of Mega Friday, with each of them enjoying a VIP trip around the world as well as their seven-figure windfall. See the EuroMillions Results page for a complete prize breakdown.

The EuroMillions jackpot winner before that also bought their ticket in the UK, pocketing a fantastic £22.4 million in the draw on Tuesday 8th September. Another UK player won £28.5 million on Friday 14th August, while the biggest prize of the summer was also won by a British participant, who grabbed £93.3 million on Friday 12th June. The UK remains fourth in the table for jackpot winners by country with 53 top-tier winners, but is now closing in quickly on third-placed Portugal, where 56 players have enjoyed scooping jackpots.

UK players have also been having a great deal of success in the non-jackpot prize tiers, and a man from Exeter has this week come forward to collect a prize of £62,623 after matching five main numbers in the draw on Friday 8th September. Known as Mr H, the player has been congratulated after earning a fortune by playing online. A National Lottery spokesman said: “With many people leading busy lives playing online is becoming increasingly popular, it means you can make sure your lucky numbers are always in the draw and your ticket is always checked.”

If you fancy winning a prize in tonight’s draw you can buy tickets now by either visiting an authorised retailer in any of the participating countries or following Mr H’s example and playing online. You could even decide to join an online syndicate to increase your chances of winning a prize without worrying about the price of tickets. Whichever way you decide to play, check back on Euro-Millions.com after the draw to see the results and it could just be that you have kept up the UK’s winning run. Best of luck!
