£107 Million EuroMillions Win for One Lucky UK Player

The £107 million EuroMillions jackpot offered in Friday’s draw has already been claimed by one lucky UK resident. The mystery Brit came forward on Saturday to collect their monumental multi-million pound prize after they matched all seven numbers in the previous night’s draw.

While everyone is wondering who the big winner could be, Camelot has not yet released the ticket holder’s name and they may never do so as, should they choose, National Lottery winners are entitled to remain anonymous. Despite the absence of a name, here are some facts we can already garner about the lucky jackpot winner:

• Their win makes them the 745th richest person in the UK.

Providing the ticket is not shared by a syndicate, the lucky winner will be wealthier than Robbie Williams and George Michael who, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, are worth approximately £105 million each.

• The winner will collect the fourth largest UK EuroMillions jackpot since it began in 2004.

Colin and Chris Weir collected the largest ever UK jackpot worth £161,653,000 in 2011, closely followed by Adrian and Gillian Bayford who claimed a top tier prize of £148,656,000 in 2012. The third big winner chose to remain anonymous after winning £113,019,926 in 2010.

• The winner scooped the 14th largest EuroMillions jackpot of all time.

278 EuroMillions jackpots have been won since the lottery’s inception in 2004; the winner from Friday night’s draw claimed the 14th largest prize in over a decade of draws.

Although the mysterious jackpot winner was undoubtedly the most successful participant on the night, they were not the only player celebrating a big win. Seven ticket holders managed to match five main numbers and one Lucky Star to earn a prize of £251,609.50 (€129,384,564) and 17 ticket holders matched five main numbers to win £34,534.60 (€50,470.70) each.

A further 126 players won £2,329.70 (€3,404.70) each after matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars and 2,050 participants matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £125.20 (€183.10) each. A further 4,425,326 players won prizes worth between £2.80 (€4.10) for matching just two main numbers and £68.50 (€100.20) for matching four main numbers.

A full prize breakdown, including the UK Millionaire Raffle winning code, is available on the EuroMillions Results page.

As the jackpot has been won, tomorrow night’s draw has a brand new jackpot of £12 million (€15 million).
