Another EuroMillions Victory for France

For the second draw in a row, a ticket purchased by a player in France has won the EuroMillions jackpot. The win came on Tuesday 27 March when one ticket matched all five main numbers (24, 27, 29, 34 and 46) and both Lucky Star numbers (07 and 08), and as expected the final value of the jackpot was €15 million (£12.55 million). That means the next jackpot this Friday 30 March will also have a value of around €15 million, and players around the world will be wondering where the next jackpot-winning ticket will be purchased.

Surprisingly, there were no tickets that matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star, so there were no second-tier prize winners. 8 tickets did win a third-tier prize of €154,453 (£106,662) by matching five main numbers only, and 24 other tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win €6,436 (£4,444) each. The total number of prizes won was 1,417,957 and that doesn’t include the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million that was landed by a UK player with the number FGL789613.

The coming draw this Friday 30 March is the last of the month, so anyone who manages to beat the odds and land the jackpot would have the best possible start to April. The odds of winning any prize at all are 1 in 13, so even if the jackpot proves elusive there is still a good chance of winning a consolation prize, and as regular readers will know, some of the consolation prizes can be fairly big!
