The winning ticket was purchased in the beautiful city of Salzburg, and the full prize was worth €111,516,282 – the third-biggest Austrian Lottery prize in its 40-year history, and the 64th biggest EuroMillions jackpot overall. The player's ticket had three different lines, and had been purchased for the next two draws – the first line was the winner, but only on the second draw the ticket was for. If they'd only played for the one draw, they'd have missed out on being a 9-figure multi-millionaire…
Other Big EuroMillions Winners
It's been over a year since Austria last won the EuroMillions jackpot, when a player won €250 million – the EuroMillions jackpot cap – with an online play in March 2025. It was the biggest EuroMillions jackpot ever won at the time and, although it has since been matched, there hasn't been a bigger win yet, as the jackpot cap is fixed at €250 million (for now).
In Friday's main EuroMillions draw, there were three other big winners who matched six numbers, just missing one of the lucky stars. A French player won €265,189.60, while a Spanish player won €265,189.68 – 8 cents more, due to how each national lottery records and distributes prizes. A player in the UK also won an equivalent prize of £182,664.10.
