Jackpot Rolls and Second-Tier Eludes

EuroMillions players hoping to win the jackpot or a second-tier prize were disappointed on Friday 22 June because no tickets matched all five numbers and either of the Lucky Star numbers. That led to the jackpot itself rolling over and to the prizes at the third-tier level having a larger than average value. To be precise, there were six tickets that matched five main numbers only and each of those tickets won a third-tier prize of €363,306. Compare that to the value of the third-tier prizes in the previous Friday draw (€34,790) and we think you’ll agree that the difference is substantial.

For those of you who haven’t yet checked your numbers, the EuroMillions results on Friday 22 June were 14, 18, 19, 43 and 49, with the numbers 03 and 07 appearing as the Lucky Stars. There were 55 tickets that matched four main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers, and each of those won a fourth-tier prize of €4,954 (£3,473). 970 tickets won €245 (£172) each by matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star, and another 1,768 tickets matched four main numbers only to win €134 (£94) each. There were more than 2.67 million prizes won in all, and in the UK the Millionaire Raffle number RTJ822401 made one player £1 million richer.

In our previous news item we had highlighted the main number 18 as being one of the most overdue, so we were very pleased to see that it obliged. The most overdue main numbers now are 42, 23, 45, 33 and 06, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 04 and 06.

The rollover jackpot in the next EuroMillions game this Tuesday 26 June will be worth around €21 million (around £17 million). Whether it will roll over again or not remains to be seen, but either way we certainly hope that the second-tier prize level proves to be a bit luckier for players than it was on Friday! Play EuroMillions online today and good luck!
