Draw Summary
The EuroMillions draw on Friday 27th September was the second draw to take place after the jackpot hit its €190 million cap. The capped jackpot remains in place for four consecutive draws without a top prize winner, before rolling down in the fifth and final draw if there are no Match 5 + 2 Lucky Star winners.
Once again, the draw went by without a jackpot winner, making it 21 consecutive draws since it was last won and setting up another €190 million draw on Tuesday 1st October. Despite the lack of a jackpot winner there were other big prizes awarded on the night; two players in the UK matched five numbers plus a Lucky Star to each win £3.5 million, and two other players in Spain did the same to win nearly €4.7 million each.
Ticket sales picked up considerably thanks to the enormous €190 million jackpot. Over 55 million entries were sold in total across all the participating countries and more than €45 million was handed out in prize money, including just under £14 million in the UK. With the jackpot sticking at its cap for the following draw, a similar amount was expected to be won again.
