Another British ticket has won a EuroMillions jackpot, and this time it was one worth €44,378,839 (around £39,754,555), making this latest jackpot win the third biggest in UK lottery history. The EuroMillions results which produced the outright winner on Friday 26 March were 08, 16, 18, 37 and 43, and the two Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 06. The owner of the winning ticket came forward on Sunday 28 March, but at this early stage no further details about the winner have been made available.
In addition to the jackpot, more than 1.94 million smaller prizes were won in the EuroMillions draw last Friday. They included six prizes of €586,845 (around £416,636) by those who matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number, twelve prizes of €83,268 (around £59,117) by those who matched five main numbers only, and 107 prizes of €6,670 (around £4,736) by those who matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. A UK-only Millionaire Raffle prize of £1,000,000 was also won by one player who correctly matched the number HLV958484.
Now that the recent run of rollovers has come to an end – for the time being at least – the EuroMillions jackpot has been reset to its base value of €15 million (around £13 million). Will the next jackpot be won by yet another UK ticket? Or will a ticket in one of the other participating countries claim the spoils? Maybe the EuroMillions jackpot will start rolling yet again? As always, we’ll have to wait and see what the results bring this Friday!
One of the five main numbers last Friday (the number 16) had been previously identified as one that was most overdue to make an appearance in a EuroMillions draw. If that inspires you to take a look at the EuroMillions statistics as you plan your entries for the next draw, we can tell you that the most overdue main numbers right now are 03, 48, 02, 21 and 23, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 01 and 08.
If the latest EuroMillions jackpot winner chooses to go public then we will obviously bring you more details as soon as we can. In the meantime, why not play EuroMillions online today and see if you can win your own jackpot this Friday? The odds of one of your tickets winning are just as good as those for any other, so get involved and good luck!
