An August double rollover jackpot worth €42,000,000 (around £35,000,000) can be won this Friday 7 August, 2009 after no EuroMillions player managed to win the top prize in the previous draw. Whilst the prospect of winning a regular EuroMillions jackpot of €15 million is always exciting, the notion of winning a double rollover draw is almost three times as nice!
The EuroMillions results for the draw held on Friday 7 August were 5, 9, 20, 21 and 26 and the Lucky Star numbers were 3 and 6. No fewer than twelve players matched five main numbers and one of those Lucky Stars to win €250,544 (around £212,448) each. Another thirteen players matched the five main numbers only and each winner scooped a third-tier prize worth €65,631 (around £55,651). The total number of EuroMillions prizes that were won last week was 1,965,005.
We recently announced that a EuroMillions Superdraw is on its way in September, so there is plenty for EuroMillions lottery fans to get excited about over the next few months. First we have the double rollover draw this Friday, and if nobody wins that outright we have the prospect of a triple rollover jackpot the week after. If a lucky player does win the jackpot this week then we still have a €100 million superdraw to look forward to in just a few weeks time – and several regular EuroMillions draws in the meantime!
As always, we strongly advise everyone to play EuroMillions online for convenience as well as safety and security. Lost lottery tickets have been making headlines in recent months, with several players missing out on some huge cash prizes. Playing online makes it impossible to lose your tickets, so it make sense to do so, especially when you consider that online tickets have exactly the same chance of winning as those purchased from offline retailers.
If you like to take EuroMillions Statistics into consideration when making your lottery entries, we can tell you that the most overdue main numbers at the time of writing are 27, 1, 28, 3 and 49 and that the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 4 and 2.
Good luck!
3rd August 2009
