Euromillions and Millionaire Raffle Results for New Years Day

Happy New Year, everyone! 2013 began in style with the Euromillions draw and the special New Year’s Millionaire Raffle, which saw 25 lucky UK players being made an instant millionaire. The first Euromillions draw of the year was undoubtedly going to be a big occasion, and, as the results were drawn, we knew for certain there would be a lot of celebrations around Europe – as more people than expected became millionaires! There was a Euromillions jackpot on Tuesday 1st January 2013 of €38,032,608 (£30,730,347) on offer as well as those 25 £1 million UK Millionaire prizes. In the end, three players bagged an equal share of the jackpot by matching five numbers and two Lucky Stars, to win a life changing €12,677,536 / £10,243,449. Also celebrating were two further players who won just under a million Euros too by matching five numbers and one Lucky Star, to scoop a total of €849,669 (£606,509) each! Nine ticket holders were able to match five numbers, equating to a win of €62,938 (£44,926), and all in all, there were 2.7 million lucky winners of a prize on the first draw of the year.
