Jackpot Rolls in 500th EuroMillions Game

According to the popular saying, time flies when you’re having fun, and time certainly seems to have flown by since the EuroMillions lottery game was launched in February 2004. The EuroMillions game held its 500th draw on Friday 6 July, and many were hoping that the occasion would be marked by someone winning the jackpot, which had a final value of €53 million (£42 million). Unfortunately that didn’t happen, so the jackpot rolled for the fifth time in a row, giving players an estimated jackpot of €60 million (around £48 million) to aim for this Tuesday 10 July.

The EuroMillions results on Friday 6 July were 31, 32, 38, 40 and 42, and the Lucky Star numbers were 1 and 3. Four tickets matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win a second-tier prize of €457,324 (£332,650) each, so the owners of those tickets will certainly be smiling regardless of the jackpot rolling over. Another four tickets matched the five main numbers only to win €152,441 each.

48 tickets won €6,352 (£4,620) each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, whilst 942 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €283 (£205) each. In addition to all of those winners, a further 2,495,346 tickets won smaller prizes of up to €141 (£103) each by matching fewer numbers. In the UK, one player won £1 million by matching the Millionaire Raffle number WVN249573.

The main number 42 that was drawn last Friday had been highlighted as one that was most overdue to make an appearance, so the most overdue numbers to watch out for now are 23, 45, 33, 06 and 24. The most overdue Lucky Star numbers are unchanged at 04 and 02. Will any of those numbers help someone to win the €60 million that is up for grabs this Tuesday? Play EuroMillions online today and you’ll soon find out!
