Which EuroMillions Country Trumps The Rest on Big Jackpots?

On the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 45th President of the United States, EuroMillions could crown its 356th jackpot winner. A top prize of £70 million (€80 million) is available if anyone can match all five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars. But which country does history suggest is most likely to produce the latest multimillionaire?

France has had the most jackpot winners since the game was launched 13 years ago, with 83 in total. Spain is ranked second with 80, ahead of the UK on 63 and Portugal on 62. Check out the EuroMillions Winners page to find out where each nation stands in the table of jackpot wins.

It is a different story when it comes to large jackpots, though, with the list of the 15 biggest prizes dominated by UK ticket holders. Six of the top 15 winners have been UK players, compared with three each from France and Spain.

The jackpot tonight does not quite creep into the top 15, but it is not far away after steadily growing for several weeks. A Spanish participant walked off with €25.2 million (£21.5 million) on Tuesday 27th December after matching all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars, but there has since been a run of six rollovers.

If you fancy becoming the first jackpot winner of 2017 and making your own mark on a momentous day, you will need to buy a ticket. You can either play online or by visiting an authorised retailer in any of the participating countries. Good luck!
