Since the introduction of the Tuesday EuroMillions Draw and the ever increasing Jackpots many people are asking - What was the Biggest EuroMillions Jackpot ever? Looking back through the archives you'll see that the biggest ever Euromillions Jackpot pool was €185 million for draw numbers 396 AND 397 on 8th and 12th July 2011. The prize was won on the second draw that had the Jackpot Cap by Christine and Colin Weir from Largs in Scotland who went public on 15th July 2011.
The winning EuroMillions draw took place on Tuesday July 12th, 2011 at 10pm CET (9pm UK time) and the following numbers were drawn:

Draw Number 397 produced the Biggest EuroMillions Jackpot to be won at €185 million. However it wasn't the largest Sterling jackpot to be created as the amount won by Colin and Christine Weir was just £161,653,000. However in the draw previous, draw number 396, the Jackpot Cap was reached for the first time but failed to produce any match 5 and 2 Lucky Stars winners. Factually this draw produced the biggest Euromillions jackpot in Sterling because of the exchange rate - the jackpot amount for draw number 396 was actually over £3 million higher than that of draw number 397 at £164,761,000.
Biggest Sterling Jackpot
Whilst this was the biggest Euromillions jackpot in Euros, the draw in July 2011 also produced the largest Sterling jackpot. For players in the UK the jackpot on draw number 397 was just over £161 million.
The Euromillions jackpot reached these heady heights after 12 rollovers failed to find a winner who matched 5 main numbers and 2 Lucky Stars. By the 13th week the prize pool reached the Euromillions Jackpot Cap meaning that it could not go any higher than the €185 million that was won on 12th July 2011. The 13th week also failed to find a jackpot winner and "rolled again" for a 14th time to draw number 397 where the single UK winner was found.
