EuroMillions to Hit Jackpot Cap

The EuroMillions jackpot is widely expected to hit the maximum jackpot cap value of €190 million (around £148 million) this Tuesday 7 August because no ticket was able to match all five main numbers as well as both Lucky Stars on Friday. That means two things, and both of them are good news for EuroMillions players. Firstly, EuroMillions fans will have the chance to play for the highest possible jackpot this Tuesday, so anyone who appreciates value for money will want to take maximum advantage of the opportunity. Secondly, if the jackpot continues to roll then, in a couple of draws time, the jackpot pool will be rolled down to the next highest prize level that does have winners. For a full explanation of how the jackpot cap works, see this page.

The EuroMillions results for the game on Friday 3 August were 24, 34, 35, 42 and 46, and the Lucky Star numbers were 01 and 05. There were five winning tickets at the second-tier prize level, and each of those landed a prize of €691,478 (£501,783) by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star.

11 tickets matched the five main numbers without either Lucky Star to win €104,769 (£76,028) each, and another 102 tickets won €5,649 (£4,100) each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The total number of prizes won on Friday was 4,968,342, and in the UK the Millionaire Raffle number GCR760097 made one player £1 million richer than they were previously.

Our EuroMillions Statistics page tells us that the most overdue main numbers right now are 33, 06, 09, 41 and 12, whilst the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 07 and 06. Those numbers don’t have any greater chance of helping someone win the €190 million that will be on offer this Tuesday than any others, but they certainly can’t harm your chances either. In fact, no matter how you choose your numbers, every line you play has the same 1 in 13 chance of winning a prize of some kind.

Will the EuroMillions jackpot finally pay out now that it has reached the cap value of €190 million? We won’t know that until after the event, so play EuroMillions online to be in with a chance of winning and good luck!
