EuroMillions Jackpot Hits 2020 High After Superdraw Rollover

Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot will be the largest seen in the game all year after there was a rollover on Friday. A Superdraw jackpot of €130 million (£115 million) had been put up for grabs on 3rd July but there were no winners.

Superdraw Results

The winning Superdraw numbers were 4, 16, 27, 37, and 39, plus Lucky Stars 3 and 6. The nine-figure jackpot attracted millions of entries from across Europe, and lucky ticket holders were rewarded in 12 of the 13 prize categories.

The biggest winners were the players who matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star, landing €126,333 each. Go to the EuroMillions Results page to see a full prize breakdown, along with details of the night’s Millionaire Maker result and other supplementary games.

The jackpot proved to be just out of reach as nobody was quite able to match all seven numbers, so the top prize will now rise to an estimated €143 million for the next draw on Tuesday.

It is the highest jackpot to have been offered on EuroMillions since a UK player became the country’s biggest-ever winner last year, scooping a record £170 million (€190 million) on 8th October.

The only previous Superdraw to take place in 2020 was held on 7th February, when a Spanish participant landed €130 million on the night.

Big EuroMillions Jackpots

Superdraws only take place from time to time, pushing up the jackpot to a pre-determined amount regardless of what happens in the run-up to that scheduled event. The draw on Tuesday 30th June, for example, offered a top prize of £56 million (€62 million).

This was topped up to €130 million for Friday’s Superdraw using money from the Reserve Fund. Even if Tuesday’s draw had been won, Friday’s jackpot would not have been affected. Head over to the Superdraws page for more information about how these special events work.

Following changes to the game that were made in February, the jackpot cap increased from €190 million to €200 million, with more money also going to the top prize in every draw. If the jackpot keeps rolling, it may only take a few more draws to reach the new maximum jackpot and set a new record.

If you want to win the jackpot in Tuesday’s draw before it climbs any higher, you need to pick up an entry to have a chance. Visit an authorised retailer in one of the nine participating countries or take part online.
