EuroMillions To Create 100 Millionaires on Friday 21st January

A special EuroMillions draw on Friday 21st January will create 100 millionaires across Europe on the same night. All of the prizes are guaranteed to be won, making it the biggest event of its kind in EuroMillions history.

European Millionaire Maker

The promotion will take the form of a raffle and will go by different names in each of the participating countries, but you don’t need to do anything extra to take part. Just make sure to buy a ticket for the EuroMillions draw on 21st January.

You will be given a raffle code for each line of numbers that you select for the main draw. In the UK, this will be a Millionaire Maker code as usual, consisting of four letters and five numbers. A similar code will also be generated on every ticket sold in the other European nations.

A separate European Millionaire Maker draw will take place on the night, with 100 winning codes selected at random. If you match one of these 100 codes exactly, you win £1 million (€1 million/ CHF1 million).

The odds of winning depend on how many tickets are purchased in total across Europe, but there are 100 chances to match one of the codes so the odds of becoming a millionaire are far better than in a regular EuroMIllions draw.

Unlike a Superdraw, when the jackpot is increased to a huge amount but can still roll over, the prizes in this raffle are guaranteed to be won on the night..

Previous European Raffles

The upcoming raffle marks the return of the European Millionaire Maker after a near four-year absence. Previously, one was held in October 2016 after a series of changes were made to EuroMillions, and another took place in February 2018.

On both previous occasions, there were 25 winners, so the draw in January will be bigger than both of those combined.

The winning codes are drawn at random so there is no way of knowing how many will come from each country. For example, in the 2016 draw there were three UK millionaires out of 25, while in 2018 there were five.

As always, there will also be a chance to win a prize in the main draw on the same night, so you could end up being doubly lucky. Make sure to pick up a ticket and then use the EuroMillions Checker to find out if you are a winner.
