Fourth EuroMillions Superdraw of 2021 Set for 3rd December

A EuroMillions Superdraw has been scheduled for Friday 3rd December, with the jackpot set to be bumped up to €130 million (approximately £111 million). It will be the fourth special event of this kind to be held this year.

When a Superdraw draw is announced, the advertised jackpot is guaranteed to be put up for grabs. You don’t have to wait for a run of rollovers to build it up to a nine-figure amount. Even if the top prize is much lower in the preceding draw, it will be increased to €130 million for 3rd December.

The money for a Superdraw jackpot comes from the Reserve Fund, which receives a percentage of the prize fund from every standard draw. Go to the Superdraws page to find out more about how they work.

Biggest EuroMillions Jackpots

The December Superdraw follows hot on the heels of the most recent one, which took place on 24th September. On that occasion, the €130 million jackpot was not won on the night and it rolled over all the way to its limit of €220 million.

A single ticket holder matched all the numbers on 15th October to become the biggest EuroMillions winner in history. The lucky player - from Tahiti in French Polynesia - recently came forward to claim the jackpot.

The jackpot cap was adjusted to €230 million immediately after she won, so the top prize can now go higher than ever before. It could be that the upcoming Superdraw lays the foundation for another record win.

The record for the biggest jackpot has already been broken three times in the last year. A French player won €200 million in December 2020, a Swiss ticket holder surpassed that with a €210 million win in February, and then the €220 million jackpot was hit last month.

First December Superdraw

This is the first time that a Superdraw has been scheduled in December. If the jackpot does roll over, it also sets up the possibility that it could reach its highest ever amount around Christmas.

Changes to the prize structure and a desire to offer even more big jackpots have helped the participating national lotteries to deliver even more exciting draws recently. There were four Superdraws in 2020, but there had never previously been more than three in a single year.

The fourth Superdraw of 2021 promises to be a winter extravaganza, and you can take part online or by visiting an authorised retailer.
