EuroMillions Results Live: Friday’s £167 Million Draw

One of the biggest EuroMillions jackpots in the history of the game - £167 million - was on offer in the draw on Friday 20th September. See how events unfolded and find out what the winning numbers were.

22:18 - That wraps up another exciting EuroMillions draw night - and we get to do it all again on Tuesday! Join us then for more live updates and find out if anyone hits that elusive jackpot.

22:14 - All the prize breakdowns for tonight’s draw are now available to view on the results page. There were over 48 million entries for the draw across all participating countries.

22:08 - If you're wondering what happens now that the jackpot has hit its cap, this article about the coming draws might help clear things up a bit.

21:28 - Prize breakdowns are starting to come in. Thirteen players across all participating countries will be half counting their blessings and half cursing their luck as they were just one Lucky Star away from hitting the jackpot. They all matched five numbers and one Lucky Star and won more than €162,000 each.

21:23 - For what it's worth, based on ticket sales tonight's jackpot was adjusted to €189.6 million, a hair away from the jackpot cap.

21:19 - Tonight’s UK Millionaire Maker code has been confirmed. It is VQFB96857. Check the code on your ticket; you’ll find it right below your lottery numbers. If it matches exactly then you’re the lucky winner of £1 million.

21:14 - The EuroMillions jackpot for the next draw on Tuesday 24th September will be €190 million, which will be around £168 million.

21:11 - It’s another rollover! Wow, it’s now been 18 draws without a jackpot winner, continuing the longest rollover streak in EuroMillions history. That can only be a good thing, as a record-equalling jackpot is sure to be up for grabs in Tuesday’s draw. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the next jackpot to be officially announced, but that jackpot cap awaits.

20:54 - So what would you spend £167 million on? You would have the money to buy around 350 standard-sized gold bars (the precious metal, not the biscuits) (other biscuits are available). Or, you could buy one 4,000-kg block of gold if you wanted to. So, lots of important decisions to make.

20:34 - Do you have a winner? If so, go to the How to Claim page to find out how to get your hands on the money. You only have a limited time to claim, so make sure you don’t leave it too long.

20:28 - We’ll bring you news of whether there is a jackpot winner or not as soon as possible.

20:27 - Head over to the Results Checker to find out if your numbers have won anything. Keep an eye on the results page for more details about tonight’s draw.

20:24 - THE RESULTS ARE IN! The winning numbers from tonight’s EuroMillions draw are 8, 21, 25, 38, and 50, with Lucky Stars 4 and 8.

20:19 - The winning numbers should be in at any time now. Keep hitting the refresh button on your browser.

20:03 - If you were the sole winner of tonight’s jackpot, you would be among the top five biggest winners in the history of EuroMillions. If you happened to win in the UK, you would also be the country’s biggest ever lottery winner.

19:36 - Ticket sales are now closed. Good luck to all who got theirs in time! Tonight’s winning numbers are around half an hour away.

19:30 - Tonight’s jackpot is still only an estimated amount. If ticket sales are higher than expected, the jackpot could be bigger than the advertised £167 million. It could even hit the jackpot cap for tonight’s draw.

18:59 - Here’s a rundown of the schedule for this evening (all times UK time):

  • 7.30pm: Ticket sales close. If you don’t have your ticket by this time you will have to hope that the jackpot rolls over once more
  • 8.00pm (approx.): The EuroMillions draw takes place. We’ll have the winning numbers straight after the draw, so you’ll be able to check your tickets to find out if you have a winner
  • 9.00pm (approx.): We’ll find out if there are any jackpot-winning tickets or if the prize has rolled over again
  • 9.15pm: The winning UK Millionaire Maker code will be announced. In the excitement of the main draw, don’t forget to check your raffle code. After all, you don’t want to miss out on £1 million (you might be surprised at how often these prizes go unclaimed)
  • 9.30pm (approx.): A full breakdown of the prizes won in tonight’s draw will be available to view
  • 10.00pm: The jackpot for the draw on Tuesday will be confirmed, although it’s pretty easy to guess what it will be. If the jackpot is won tonight, it will revert to its starting value of £15 million (€17 million); if it isn’t won, it will hit that €190 million cap

18:12 - Although the jackpot cap has been reached several times before, it has never gone the full five draws after that; it has always been won within one or two draws after hitting the maximum amount.

17:55 - If you’ve never heard of the jackpot cap before, read this handy guide about it. In short, the EuroMillions jackpot rolls over and increases in value every time it’s not won. It does this until someone wins it or it hits the cap of €190 million. Once it hits the cap, it can only go four more draws without being won; if no one matches all the numbers to win it in the fifth draw, the prize money is shared between all the winners in the next prize tier.

17:40 - So where did this enormous jackpot come from? It has been over two months since the last time the EuroMillions jackpot was won on Friday 19th July, meaning 17 draws have been and gone without another winner. The current jackpot of €188 million is just €2 million short of the jackpot cap; if no one wins tonight then Tuesday’s jackpot is certain to be worth €190 million, but fingers crossed for a winner tonight!

16:28 - Tonight’s draw is scheduled to take place at around 8pm UK time, with ticket sales closing at 7.30pm. It will be a busy one thanks to that nine-figure jackpot, so make sure you’ve bought your entry in advance to avoid any last-minute delays.

16:23 - Welcome to the live updates for the EuroMillions draw on Friday 20th September. The jackpot has been rolling since July and stands at a massive £167 million (€188 million) for tonight's draw, which is just shy of the €190 million jackpot cap.
