EuroDreams: The New Annuity Lottery Coming This November

On 6th November 2023, the EuroMillions operators will launch a new lottery, EuroDreams, aimed at players who prefer to win annuity-style lottery prizes. The game will be available in the EuroMillions countries and will offer an alternative type of jackpot game to the huge prizes offered in EuroMillions.

The EuroDreams lottery draws will take place twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday nights, differentiating it from the main EuroMillions game.

Currently the game is expected to launch on Monday 6th November, however if this is to be the date of the first draw, it is possible that tickets may go on sale as early as October.

Further details about how the game, which will help players across Europe win their dreams, will be released in the coming weeks and months as preparation for the game launch gets underway.

Information about the prizes available is not yet known, but it can be expected that the jackpot prize will be worth thousands and will be paid out each month over a number of years.

What Are Annuity Lotteries?

Annuity lotteries typically offer the top prize (and occasionally the 2nd tier prize) as a monthly payout over a number of years, rather than receiving the full lump sum amount in one go.

One such example is Set For Life which runs in the UK and offers a top prize of £10,000 every month for 30 years, and a second-tier prize of £10,000 every month for one year.

Prizes in the lower tiers usually are not annuitised and are one-off payments.
