There have now been seven EuroMillions jackpots landed in 2013, and ten players have been involved in winning them. France is leading the way with four jackpot-winners, but Portugal is fast catching up, with three winners. Belgium, Switzerland and the UK have had one winner each.
Five tickets came very close to sharing the jackpot success on Tuesday, but fell short by just one Lucky Star. The owners of those tickets will therefore have to settle for a second-tier consolation prize worth €196,292 each, but we think that should be enough to keep them smiling for a few weeks at least. Another nine tickets matched five main numbers without either of the Lucky Stars to win a third-tier prize worth €36,350 (£22,522) each.
66 tickets won €2,478 (£1,536) each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, whilst 1,034 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win their owners €138 (£85) each. At the lower levels, a total of 1,858,711 tickets picked up smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and in the United Kingdom one fortunate EuroMillions player won £1 million by matching the Millionaire Raffle number GHH571458.
All of that means that we will once again have a brand new jackpot of €15 million (around £13 million) to play for in the next game this Friday 15 March. For those of you who like to follow our EuroMillions Statistics, the most overdue main numbers to look out for (or consider playing, as you prefer) are 46, 43, 35, 32 and 24, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 03 and 01.
Don’t forget that there are now just two draws to go before we get to the big €100 million guaranteed EuroMillions game on Friday 22 March, so if you take advantage of the advance play option you can already secure your chance of winning that sum.
