Another UK Winner Grabs EuroMillions
5th March 2012 10:04 AM
The EuroMillions jackpot last Friday 2 March was won by a single ticket, and once again that winning ticket was purchased by a player in the UK. Whilst this continued run of success is good news for Brits (the last four jackpots were all won by players in the UK) players in other countries will no doubt be very keen to break the pattern, and the next opportunity to do that comes this Tuesday 6 March, when the jackpot will start over with a base value of €15 million (around £12 million).
The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday were 05, 06, 11, 30 and 44, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 06. There were two second-tier prize-winners (neither of them in the UK) and each of those won €875,321 by matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star number. Another seven tickets matched the five main numbers without either Lucky Star to win a third-tier prize of €83,364 (£56,871) each.
95 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers to win €3,071 (£2,095) each at the fourth-tier prize level, and 1,546 tickets won €165 (£112) each after matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. There were more than 3.09 million EuroMillions prizes won in total, and that doesn’t include the £1 million prize won in the UK Millionaire Raffle game, where the winning number was DGD218934.
None of the most overdue numbers were drawn in the EuroMillions game last Friday, so the most overdue numbers are still 35, 32, 18, 37 and 23, whilst the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 09 and 05.
As always, we will bring you further details on the latest jackpot winner if and when such details are officially released. In the meantime, you can play EuroMillions online for your chance to win €15 million this Tuesday 6 March. Enjoy the game and good luck with your numbers!
