Britain Scores EuroMillions Hat-Trick
27th February 2012 10:16 AM
Some people say that ‘luck runs in threes’, and for lottery players in the UK that certainly seems to be the case because a British ticket won the EuroMillions jackpot last Friday 24 February. This win, which was worth €54,897,476 (£46,432,285) follows two previous wins of €48.89 million on Friday 20 January and €54.25 million on Tuesday 7 February, so it will be interesting to see if this British run of success continues or whether the jackpot-winning habit will be picked up by another country now that the UK has scored its hat-trick.
The EuroMillions results on Friday 24 February were 03, 07, 12, 26 and 34, and the Lucky Stars were 08 and 10. There were eight winning tickets at the second-tier prize level and each of those won €244,618 (£166,823) by matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star. 16 tickets matched five main numbers only to win €40,769 (£27,804) each and 58 tickets won €5,623 (£3,835) after matching four main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers.
There were more than 3.54 million prize-winners in total last Friday and we would like to offer our congratulations to each and every one of them. We also congratulate the player who won the £1 million prize in the Millionaire Raffle game in the UK by matching the number BFM800968.
Now that the EuroMillions jackpot has stopped rolling, the next jackpot this Tuesday 28 February will be worth €15 million (around £12 million), giving players a fresh chance to change their lives forever. For those of you who like to keep up with our EuroMillions Statistics, we can tell you that the most overdue main numbers right now are 35, 32, 18, 37 and 23, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 03 and 09.
We will of course tell you more about the latest jackpot winner if they decide to go public. In the meantime, play EuroMillions online to give yourself the chance of winning your own multi-millionaire status and good luck!
