EuroMillions £181 Million Superdraw Jackpot Won in UK!

On Friday 20th February, a special EuroMillions 'Superdraw' took place, where the jackpot was bumped straight to €130,000,000, regardless of the previous draw's jackpot value (€64 million). Nobody won the grand prize that night, so the jackpot continued to roll up until one lucky player in the UK struck gold to the tune of £181,073,415.70! That's €209,527,211 in euros.

Important Draw Details

The winning numbers for the draw on Tuesday the 10th were 12-14-27-44-50, with 04-12 as the Lucky Star numbers. While two other players in France and Britain came close, matching 5+1 to take home a handsome €516,689.70/£355,164.90, only one ticket managed to match all seven numbers to land the jackpot.

One for the Books!

Tuesday's £181 (€209) million win is the third biggest lottery prize ever won in the UK! And it's not far off the first & second place jackpots too. Those titles belong to the Thwaites of Gloucester, who won £184 (€215) million in 2022, and an anonymous UK winner who landed £195 (€227) million also in 2022.

Superdraw Significance?

Tuesday's massive jackpot was won off the back of a Superdraw, which took place on February 20th. In Superdraws, the EuroMillions jackpot is bumped straight to €130 million regardless of its value for the previous draw. Superdraws leading to even bigger jackpots is common, since there's no guarantee it'll be won on the night of the actual Superdraw.

If nobody wins a Superdraw jackpot, the grand prize continues to roll up from the €130 million mark as it would with any other draw. In the past, Superdraws have been the precursor to some extraordinary jackpots, such as the record-breaking €250 million prize won for the first time in Austria.

There are usually three or four EuroMillions Superdraws held every year, so there's every chance it could happen again. The date for the next Superdraw has not yet been decided, but once it's revealed, we'll report it on our dedicated Superdraw Page - check there for more info!

What now for EuroMillions fans?

Since the jackpot has been won, the grand prize will be reset to its starting value of €17 million/£14 million. This lower prize will put off many players (despite it still being a phenomenal amount of money), but there's something you may want to consider before quitting alongside them!

Many national lottery operators run a raffle included on all EuroMillions tickets at no extra cost; examples of these are the UK's Millionaire Maker raffle or Belgium's My Bonus raffle. The odds of winning main-game prizes are always the same, but your chances of winning a raffle are increased when fewer people play. Will you still be getting tickets for a minimum-jackpot draw?
