EuroMillions Player In Ireland To Win €1 Million on Black Friday

A special edition of the Ireland Only Raffle will take place on Friday 24th November, guaranteeing that one lucky player will become a millionaire. It is the second time in the space of a month that Ireland has held such a draw, and will ensure that someone gets a better Black Friday deal than they could ever have bargained for.

Ireland Only Raffle

The Ireland Only Raffle is a supplementary draw which is exclusively available to Irish EuroMillions players. Anyone who enters the main game in Ireland is automatically given a random nine-digit code and then, on the night of the draw, ten of these codes are randomly selected. As each code is unique, there are guaranteed to be ten winners, and each winner usually receives €5,000.

In special draws such as the one scheduled for Black Friday, the ten winning codes are also entered into a separate draw. One is selected as a winner and will be awarded an extra €1 million, giving them a total prize of €1,005,000. The other nine ticket holders still receive €5,000 each.

There have already been a number of special Ireland Only Raffle draws this year. The winner of €1,005,000 in the most recent special draw, on 27th October, has yet to come forward to claim their prize. The ticket was bought at the Londis at Attyfinlay Autocentre in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim. The owner of the store, Kevin Kennedy, said at the time: “I’m not sure who the millionaire is as we get a lot of passing trade as Carrick is a big party town at the weekend.”

European Millionaires

Ireland is not the only EuroMillions country which will be creating a millionaire on Black Friday. In the UK, two players are guaranteed to win £1 million in every draw thanks to the Millionaire Maker, while supplementary games in Spain, France and Portugal also put €1 million on offer.

There is also a huge EuroMillions jackpot up for grabs at the moment. The top prize has climbed to £53 million (€60 million) following another rollover on Friday, and you can try to win by either choosing your numbers online or visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries. Best of luck!
