EuroMillions Players Console Themselves
16th January 2012 10:39 AM
EuroMillions players had to settle for consolation prizes once again on Friday 13 January because nobody succeeded in winning the jackpot itself. The jackpot was worth €29.2 million (£24.1 million) so it is estimated that the jackpot for the next EuroMillions game this Tuesday 17 January will be worth around €35 million (around £28 million). The main EuroMillions results last Friday were 13, 14, 21, 27 and 39, and the all-important Lucky Star numbers were 06 and 08. With the last two draws having resulted in rollovers, players will be hoping that the third time will be a charm as far as winning the jackpot is concerned.
10 tickets matched the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win €213,060 (£150,315) each and another 10 tickets won €71,020 (£50,105) each by matching the five main numbers only. There were 110 winning tickets at the fourth-tier prize level and each of those won €3,228 (£2,278) after matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The total number of consolation prizes won in Friday’s game was 4,052,456, and in the United Kingdom one lucky player won £1 million after matching the Millionaire Raffle number MBD404325.
Two of the most overdue numbers made an appearance last Friday – one was the main number 13 and the other was the Lucky Star number 06. That means the most overdue main numbers are now 08, 35, 32, 46 and 15, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 04 and 01. Whether or not any of those numbers will appear on Tuesday – and maybe even help someone to land the double rollover jackpot in the process – remains to be seen.
Winning a €35 million jackpot (or even a share thereof) at this early stage of the year would be quite something, and it would certainly help to blow away any winter blues. To give yourself the chance of doing exactly that, play EuroMillions online today and good luck in the draw on Tuesday!
