A single British ticket holder has matched the entire winning line to scoop an amazing £24.7 million (€32 million) jackpot in Friday’s EuroMillions draw, becoming the first UK winner in 2016. They have also become the fourth top-tier winner of the year so far after a €132.3 million jackpot was shared by two ticket holders from France and Ireland on Friday 29th January and a Spanish participant grabbed €15 million in the following draw on Tuesday 2nd February.
This Friday’s winning numbers were 3, 20, 28, 31 and 49 with Lucky Stars 2 and 5. Another two ticket holders, one from France and one from Spain, matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €760,400 each, while 15 players won £24,725 (€33,795) each when they matched five main numbers.
Other prizes handed out to lucky winners in the main game were worth between £3.20 (€4.30) for matching two main numbers and £2,687 (€3,673) for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. Two EuroMillions Plus players in Dublin, Ireland also had an outstanding night, matching the five main numbers drawn in the supplementary game to win €500,000 each. In 2015 alone, UK EuroMillions players won a record-breaking nine jackpots, including one top prize of £93.3 million (€129.2 million) in June 2015.
