EuroMillions Results for Friday 4th December 2015
5th December 2015 8:44 AM
Friday’s EuroMillions results failed to yield a top prize winner yet again, leaving the game without a winner since the jackpot was scooped on Friday 20th November. More than 33 million tickets were entered into last night’s draw as players hoped to pick up a £31.8 million (€44.2 million) jackpot and become the first EuroMillions winner of December, but the prize proved elusive once again.
The winning numbers were 8, 17, 18, 27 and 39 with Lucky Stars 1 and 7. Five participants - three from Portugal, one from Belgium and one from the UK - missed out on the jackpot by one digit, matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £249,490 (€322,433) each. Another 12 players each pocketed £34,651 (€44,782) for matching five main numbers, while 97 ticket holders matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to bag £2,143 (€2,770) each.
The other 2.9 million winners in the main game snagged cash prizes worth between £2.80 (€3.70) for matching two main numbers and £112.50 (€145.40) for matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. You can find a full prize breakdown, along with details of supplementary EuroMillions games like Millionaire Maker and My Million, at the Results page.
Out of all the participating countries, the UK had the largest number of winners and the largest prize pool, with 691,809 players grabbing a combined £3.5 million. While France had 599,367 winners to Portugal’s 454,805, the two countries were neck-and-neck for second place in terms of the prize pool won. France received a total of €3.85 million while Portugal picked up €3.82 million.
On Tuesday 8th December, you’ll get the chance to grab a rollover EuroMillions jackpot worth £36 million (€51 million). Tickets are available online or from authorised retailers in each participating country. Just think - in a few days, you could beat the odds and get to celebrate a big EuroMillions win! Good luck.
