5th May 2015 10:17 PM
The top prize in Europe’s biggest lottery game has risen to £29 million (€40 million) after no player could match all of tonight’s winning EuroMillions numbers. With over 21.1 million tickets entered into the draw and over 1.7 million prize winners, it was clear that punters from Ghent to Glasgow were keen on getting their hands on a tidy post-bank holiday payout.
This evening’s winning line is 1, 10, 17, 20 and 42 with Lucky Stars 8 and 9. No winning participants appeared in the Match 5 + 1 category, but four French players matched all five main numbers to pocket a tidy €339,051 each, with another 32 participants grabbing £4,024 (€5,297) for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars.
The remaining prize winners snapped up cash amounts worth between £2.90 (€3.90) for matching two main numbers and £138.70 (€182.60) for matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. For a full prize breakdown from the main game as well as details of the winning Millionaire Maker code, check out the EuroMillions Results page.
France had an exceptional evening thanks to sweeping an entire prize tier, with 358,565 ticket holders sharing in a respectable prize pool of €3.6 million. The UK came in second as 386,672 players grabbed over £1.9 million in the main game, while Spain took third place with a prize pool of €2.3 million split between 363,268 winning players.
The long weekend may have come and gone, but Friday is always right around the corner, and this time you’ll have a shot at an even bigger EuroMillions jackpot. Entries can be purchased online at the Play EuroMillions page or in person from authorised retailers in participating countries. Good luck and have fun!
