How Would You Spend a £53 Million EuroMillions Jackpot?

EuroMillions players from all corners of the continent will be chasing a fantastic jackpot of £53 million (€61 million) in tonight’s draw. It is the largest top prize to have been offered on the game since a lucky Belgian player scooped €168 million (£153.3 million) on Tuesday 11th October.

If anyone manages to all match five main numbers and two Lucky Stars this evening, they will be able to set their sights on the brightest of futures. A windfall like that would provide financial security for loved ones for the rest of their lives, as well as opening up opportunities for amazing new homes, wonderful holidays, new cars and exciting business ventures.

You don’t even have to grab the jackpot to make exciting plans, of course, and a couple of friends from Ireland have been celebrating a win of €379,410 after matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star in the draw on Friday 30th December.

They bought their ticket at Tesco Metro in Terenure, Dublin 6 on the day of the draw, having stuck to their traditional routine of meeting at the pub to watch football and put some money together for a few lines on EuroMillions. Having come forward this week, one of the winners explained: “Our first ticket won €30 and I thought, fantastic! That’ll buy us a few pints. When scanned, the second ticket told me to contact National Lottery offices so I thought we might have won a little bit more. I just couldn’t believe it when I was told on the phone that we’d nearly won €400,000.”

The lucky man waited until he next met his friend at the pub to share the good news, first informing him of the €30 win before saying there was more good news. He added:  “I then slipped him a folded up piece of paper with ‘€379,410’ written on it. It was a lovely moment. We just sat there, grinning like Cheshire cats as we both came to terms with our massive win.”

If you would like the chance to win a EuroMillions prize, tickets can be bought online or from authorised retailers in any participating country. Whether it is around £30, a six-figure sum or even the phenomenal jackpot, you could just have a reason to smile like the mates from Ireland. Good luck!
