Irish EuroMillions Players Enjoy Supplementary Success

Friday evening’s EuroMillions draw may not have produced a winner of the €36.5 million top prize, but there was plenty of jackpot joy for one Irish player in the EuroMillions Plus draw. This latest win caps a fantastic run of supplementary success for players in Ireland as the desire to win one of EuroMillions’ additional prizes really heats up.

As July steadily draws to a close, Irish EuroMillions fans will look back on the last seven months with fondness. Not only did the Emerald Isle secure its 11th jackpot win earlier this month when a family from the West of Ireland collected a reward worth €28.9 million, but EuroMillions Plus enthusiasts have also been treated to an astonishing 15 top prize victories to date.

This is an impressive figure, especially when compared to the same stage in 2016 when just 12 players had helped themselves to the jackpot. In total, 25 players scooped the game’s €500,000 reward last year, a target that is well within the reach of Irish ticket holders by the close of play in 2017. Of course, eager entrants will be hoping to smash through the quarter of a century barrier and make this year one for the EuroMillions history books.

The latest winner, who is yet to be identified, correctly matched the numbers 2, 6, 12, 26 and 48 to secure the €500,000 top prize after purchasing their ticket on Thursday 20th July from Dunnes Stores in Ashleaf Shopping Centre in the Crumlin suburb of Dublin. Dermot Griffin, the National Lottery’s Chief Executive was on hand to highlight the nation’s recent good fortune: “Irish EuroMillions players are certainly enjoying an incredible run of luck,” he smiled.

Of course, it isn’t just Irish ticket holders who are basking in the warming glow of Lady Luck’s rays. Across the sea, players in the UK are regularly given the opportunity to win big thanks to the UK Millionaire Maker draw. Each draw provides hopefuls with two additional chances to land a prize worth £1 million and even a once-in-a-lifetime holiday courtesy of Mega Week.

Supplementary fever is also rife in Europe, with French players able to benefit from a €1 million prize in every draw through My Million, while Spanish participants can take part in El Millon. In fact, there are a range of extra games available to players across the continent, simply head to the Special Draws page to discover more.

With so many additional games on offer, don’t forget about tonight’s €45 million (£40 million) EuroMillions jackpot. For your chance to win big, pick your numbers online or play via any authorised retailer in participating countries. Good luck!
