Play for a Mega Rollover Jackpot
12th May 2011 9:48 AM
EuroMillions players who missed out on the Mega Jackpot last Tuesday 10 May will now be hoping to fare better as they play for a mega rollover jackpot of around €123 million (around £107 million) this Friday 13 May. The odds of winning the jackpot outright are 1 in 116,531,800, and since Friday 13 is viewed as being unlucky by some people the more superstitious players out there might expect the jackpot to roll over yet again. Of course, many more people will be buying tickets to prove such superstitions wrong!
Since a regular EuroMillions jackpot is worth €15 million, the mega rollover jackpot of around €123 million this Friday is over eight times as large. Even so, tickets for the coming draw will cost exactly the same as those for any other draw, and this means that players who participate in the game this Friday will be getting more than eight times the value for money that they would in a regular jackpot game.
That value for money factor alone is a logical reason to buy more tickets for the draw this Friday, but it isn’t the only good reason for buying multiple tickets. Another very good reason is that buying multiple tickets increases your chance of winning – two tickets would double your chances, three tickets would triple your chances, and so on.
With the odds of winning any prize at all being 1 in 13, and with the next draw taking place on the 13th, many players will decide to buy 13 tickets to see if that number can be significant for them. Of course, buying 13 tickets doesn’t guarantee that anyone will win even a minor prize, but the odds of picking up a prize with 13 tickets are pretty good, and any one of those tickets could win the €123 million jackpot itself.
However many EuroMillions tickets you buy online, good luck in the draw this Friday and be sure to let us know if you are lucky enough to win the mega rollover jackpot!
