Second-Biggest EuroMillions Jackpot of 2026 Won in Belgium

There was a lot of excitement surrounding the EuroMillions jackpot as it surged past the €130 million mark by June 2nd, cancelling out the Superdraw scheduled for June 5th. It looked poised to continue growing, but was won on the 9th by a lone ticket in Belgium at €175 million (£151 million).

The winning numbers for the Tuesday 9th of June draw were 2-7-23-44-46 with 3-5 as the Lucky Star numbers. Although there were over 2.5 million winning tickets across the continent, only one of them managed to match all the numbers. There were six tier 2 prizes awarded in the draw also, to tickets that matched all the numbers bar one of the Lucky Star numbers. Three UK players each won £102,287, with the other tickets sold in Austria and two in Spain, each winning an equivalent €148,910.

Already a Good Year for Belgium

This win is Belgium's second EuroMillions jackpot of 2026 – there have been four so far, and the Belgian winners haven't had to share their prize in either case. One of the other jackpots was won by a lone UK ticket, while three tickets (two UK, one French) shared the remaining jackpot.

Belgium is overrepresented when it comes to winning the EuroMillions jackpots relative to their population – they've won 49 jackpots with a population of 11.7 million, which is 8.2% of the total jackpots won, despite being only 5% of the total EuroMillions playerbase. It looks like this trend is going to continue!

When is the next EuroMillions Superdraw?

As mentioned in the intro, a Superdraw was recently cancelled due to the jackpot being too high for it to go ahead. For those unfamiliar, Superdraws are special EuroMillions events where the jackpot is elevated to €130 million (around £110 million) regardless of the value of the previous jackpot. That is, unless the jackpot is already above €130 million – lowering it wouldn't be very exciting at all! In this case, the Superdraw planned for June 5th was cancelled, but we expect it to be rescheduled soon, especially now that the jackpot has been won.

Getting Involved

The jackpot may have been reset back to the starting value of €17 million (£14 million) for now, but it'll be growing soon. Lower jackpots can be off-putting to many, but use that to your advantage: if your country runs a guaranteed-winner raffle alongside EuroMillions (such as the UK's Millionaire Maker), then fewer other entries makes it more likely that your ticket will win.
