Ten UK Millionaires Guaranteed on Friday 7th August

Ten UK players will become millionaires in the EuroMillions draw on Friday 7th August after the National Lottery set a date for the next special promotion. Find out more about how it is set to work and how it will boost your chances of winning a major prize.

The Millionaire Maker usually creates one millionaire in a standard EuroMillions draw. Everyone who buys a EuroMIllions ticket in the UK is automatically entered into this supplementary game and is given a unique code for each line of numbers they purchase. The game works like a raffle, selecting one winner at random to receive £1 million.

In the draw on 7th August, 10 winners will be drawn instead of one. The prizes are guaranteed, because only the codes that have been generated on tickets are entered into the draw. This means that every winning code definitely belongs to one lucky player.

You do not need to do anything different to normal to enter the special draw. Buy a ticket from an authorised retailer or online, at the same cost as usual, and you will find your Millionaire Maker codes displayed underneath your EuroMillions numbers.

Better Odds of Winning

The main benefit of these special Millionaire Maker draws is how much it increases your chances of winning. The odds always depend on how many tickets are sold so there is some variation between draws, but it is estimated that there are around 5 million UK entries for a Friday draw when the jackpot is at its base amount (£14 million). With 10 prizes of £1 million up for grabs, your odds will be ten times better, at around 1 in 500,000 instead of 1 in 5 million.

The UK National Lottery only holds these draws from time to time. The last one to take place was back on 4th February, when 20 millionaires were created.

It is also possible to win a prize on Millionaire Maker and the main game on the same night. EuroMillions gives you 13 different ways to win, from matching just two numbers right up to the multimillion-pound jackpot for matching the whole lot.

Once the draw has been and gone, you can use the EuroMillions Checker to compare both your main numbers and your Millionaire Raffle codes to the winning selection.

It has already been a year for big UK winners, including Rochdale’s Ryan Hoyle, who landed a jackpot of £58 million on 17th April. Ten more millionaires are now guaranteed on 7th August, so make sure not to miss out on your chance to win.
