Two Share Multi-Rollover Jackpot

The EuroMillions multi-rollover jackpot has finally been landed, and two winning tickets will now share the spoils. The jackpot, which had built up over six consectutive rollovers, was eventually worth €138,210,533 (around £121,722,017) so each winning ticket has a value of exactly half that amount. Of course, the owners of those winning tickets (one in Portugal and one in Belgium) may not even be aware of their success yet, so if you haven’t already checked your entries for last Friday 25 March, you should probably do so now by heading over to our Results Checker page.

The five main numbers in the EuroMillions draw for the six-time rollover were 06, 12, 21, 27 and 33, and the two Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 07. In addition to the two jackpot winners, 18 players matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win a second-tier prize worth €394,918 (around £260,836) each. Missing out on €138 million by one Lucky Star number would naturally have been very disappointing for the players concerned, but picking up a high six-figure sum for ‘almost’ winning is a pretty good consolation and when the initial disappointment has faded we think the second-tier winners will be quite happy with their achievement.

34 players matched the five main numbers only to win €59,332 (around £39,188) each, and another 553 players won €2,606 (around £1,721) each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. All told, more than 4.93 million EuroMillions prizes were won last Friday, which gives you some idea of how many tickets were purchased for the game (as regular readers will be aware, each ticket has a 1 in 24 chance of winning any prize at all). As usual, one UK player won £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number, which was SMY219076.

The jackpot for the EuroMillions draw next Friday 1 April has now been reset, so players will have the chance to win a jackpot worth €15 million (around £13 million). We congratulate everyone who won a prize last week - especially the owners of the two jackpot-winning tickets - and we wish everyone who participates in the next game the best of luck in becoming one of the next big winners.
