UK EuroMillions Winner Claims £53.1 Million Prize

The UK winners of Tuesday night’s £53.1 million (€73.5 million) EuroMillions jackpot have come forward with their lucky ticket and have had their claim verified by lottery officials. They are husband and wife, Richard and Angela Maxwell from Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

The couple, who are both 67, have instantly become the tenth biggest UK lottery winners ever, having contacted the claims team within 24 hours of their numbers being drawn in Paris on Tuesday.

They matched main numbers 8, 20, 24, 28 and 49 with Lucky Stars 8 and 9 in the draw, and you can find a full prize breakdown along with the winning Millionaire Maker code at the EuroMillions Results page.

Angela claims that she dropped a washing basket when Richard told her the good news, although she took some convincing that it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke! Their first purchase will be to replace the minibus which transports OAPs to the club where Angela volunteers. Richard is planning to purchase a car, with a Range Rover currently his first choice, before jetting off around the world to attend sporting events.

For your chance to pick up a multimillion pound EuroMillions jackpot which could change the lives of your family and local community, you can buy your tickets from an authorised retailer or click on the Play EuroMillions tab to purchase them online.
