UK National Lottery Officials Hunt for EuroMillions Winner from Middlesbrough

National Lottery officials are urging EuroMillions players in Middlesbrough to double check their tickets as the hunt for the winner of a £1 million continues. The lucky lottery fan successfully matched one of the UK Millionaire Maker codes on Friday 30th September to win the seven-figure prize, but has yet to come forward to collect their reward.

The player, whose ticket correctly matched the unique code HDXK 89184, still has until Wednesday 29th March to collect their prize, but National Lottery officials have been keen to step up their efforts to find the unsuspecting millionaire sooner rather than later. In an attempt to jog the memories of ticket holders, lottery bosses have started issuing helpful reminders, including that the ticket was purchased ahead of Middlesbrough FC’s long and gruelling trip to face Premier League rivals West Ham United on Saturday 1st October.

In a press release, Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s senior winners’ advisor, spoke of his desire to united the lucky player with their life-changing prize: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.” Carter also issued some helpful advice on where to start looking for the missing ticket: “Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

Middlesbrough's mystery winner isn’t the only player lottery officials are on the lookout for. There are still a host of unsuspecting players who have failed to realise that they are in possession of a ticket worth an incredible sum of money thanks to UK Millionaire Maker. And it isn’t just a sensational cash prizes about to go begging, as there are still a number of Mega Friday prizes yet to be claimed, including a breathtaking New Zealand adventure and a luxurious trip to the Gold Coast. If you think that you could be missing out on an unbelieveable prize, head to the EuroMillions Unclaimed Prizes page.

Ahead of tonight’s EuroMillions draw, which will boast a jackpot worth an estimated £15 million (€17 million), ticket holders are advised to check their tickets carefully before disposing of them. Entry to the UK Millionaire Maker draw is included in the price of every ticket bought in the UK and every player will receive one unique raffle code for every EuroMillions line that is played. As always, tickets for tonight’s draw are available to buy online or from any authorised retailer in participating countries. Good luck, and don’t forget to check those codes!
