UK Ticket Holder Lands £51.7 Million Jackpot

Friday’s EuroMillions draw ended in success for one UK ticket holder who scooped a jackpot worth £51.7 million (€57.8 million). The lucky lottery fan correctly matched the numbers 5, 9, 29, 31 and 41, along with the Lucky Stars 2 and 4, to end a run of four straight rollovers dating back to Tuesday 11th July.

04/08/2017 UPDATE: Jackpot Claimed!

A lucky player has come forward with the winning ticket from Friday 28th July. They will have their £51.7 million win verified and then decide whether to go public with their news.

The winner, who is yet to make contact with National Lottery officials, has become the fourth player from the UK to land the jackpot this year, a victory that has strengthened the island nation’s position on the EuroMillions Winners’ table. The UK has now produced 67 top prize winners since the game’s inception in 2004, two ahead of Portugal (65) in fourth and 15 shy of Spain (82) in second.

This month alone has provided plenty of prosperity for EuroMillions fans. The excitement started on Friday 7th July, when an Irish player walked away with a prize worth €28.9 million, before a Portuguese participant secured a €17 million sum in the very next draw. A mere four draws later and the jackpot winners’ siren has been sounding again to welcome another winner into the ever-growing fold.

The UK National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor, Andy Carter, wasted no time in congratulating the country for producing yet another jackpot champion:  “The UK’s luck is on a roll!” he said. “This is the fourth EuroMillions jackpot prize to be won here and comes only a few weeks after the massive £87.5m UK jackpot win,” he added, referring to a player who claimed a sizeable sum in the Superdraw on Friday 30th June.

Eager to unite the winner with their prize, Carter continued: “We urge everyone to check their tickets to see if they’ve joined the National Lottery millionaires club.” The prosperous player now has 180 days to claim their reward.

The EuroMillions jackpot has now reset ahead of this Tuesday’s draw, so if you would like to add £15 million (€17 million) to your bank account, simply pick your numbers online or play through any authorised retailer in participating countries. Good luck!
