The jackpot had powered past €170 million on the back of 13 straight rollovers, setting up one of the most eagerly-awaited draws of a remarkable year.
The winning numbers were revealed to be 5, 29, 33, 39 and 42, with Lucky Stars 3 and 9. More than 35.7 million entries were purchased for the draw, and more than 2.7 million of those tickets won a prize.
There were some stunning payouts in all nine of the participating countries, but only one ticket matched the full line. It is the fourth-largest jackpot to have ever been won in France, and the lucky player now has 60 days to come forward and claim their money.
No more information was released by the French National Lottery about where the jackpot-winning ticket was sold.
€130 Million Superdraw Lies Ahead
If Friday’s jackpot had rolled over, there was a chance it could have gone on to reach its €250 million limit for the fourth time in 2025. Instead, it will drop back to €14 million for Tuesday night.
Regardless of whether Tuesday’s jackpot gets won or not, it will be boosted straight back up to €130 million (approximately £110 million) for a Superdraw on Friday.
Superdraws are special events which only take place a few times a year. They offer a guaranteed nine-figure jackpot (usually worth €130 million), without the need for a run of rollovers to build up the pot. The money comes from the EuroMillions Reserve Fund, which receives a portion of the prize money in every draw.
You can give yourself a chance to become the next jackpot winner by picking up a ticket. Go to an authorised retailer in one of the participating nations, or choose your numbers online.
