Belgian Player Wins €153.8 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

A single player from Belgium snapped up the largest EuroMillions jackpot of the year on Friday night as they matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win a gargantuan €153.8 million (£134.8 million). On a great evening for fans of the game across Europe, a total of 3.8 million prizes were won.

The winning EuroMillions numbers were 8, 10, 24, 33 and 42, with Lucky Stars 3 and 9. The lucky jackpot winner can now look forward to a lifetime of luxury and new opportunities, having ended a run of 14 rollovers which had driven up the top prize and sparked dizzying levels of excitement throughout the continent as the balls were drawn in Paris.

The winner is Belgium’s second-largest winner ever, and the eighth biggest winner altogether. Belgium has now produced 29 jackpot winners since EuroMillions was launched in 2004, placing it fifth in the list of the most successful countries. It has been a particularly prosperous few months for Belgium on EuroMillions, as the €168 million jackpot given away last October was also won in the country.

As well as the jackpot winner, seven ticket holders from across the nine participating countries matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to pocket £178,884 (€290,732) each, while another 23 players won £12,680 (€20,608) after matching five main numbers. The other prizes won spanned between £2.60 (€4.30) for matching two main numbers and £1,285 (€2,088) for matching four main numbers plus two Lucky Stars.

Take a look at the EuroMillions Results page to see more information, including a full prize breakdown and the draw details from associated games in different countries. Two UK ticket holders are £1 million richer after matching the winning Millionaire Maker codes HQGT 61980 and HQHB 78954.

The next EuroMilions draw on Tuesday will offer a jackpot of £14 million (€17 million), presenting you with another chance to scoop a massive prize. You can give yourself a chance of winning by picking numbers online or visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries. Good luck!
