Can You Skittle Down The £85 Million EuroMillions Jackpot?

As EuroMillions players from Manchester to Madrid dream of winning tonight’s £85 million (€98 million) jackpot, they can take inspiration from the nightclub barman who managed to clear his debts after popping into a shop to buy a bag of sweets and coming out with a ticket which would turn him into a millionaire.

Sweet Success

Alex Best, a 21-year-old who finished his university course in live event production last September, had been living on the minimum wage until he entered the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 9th January. He explained: “I don’t often buy tickets so it was pure luck I went in for those sweets. I had been out with my mum and popped into the shop to buy a bag of Skittles. While I was getting them an advert flashed up for the draw that evening and I thought I'd give it a try.”

Alex won £1 million in the Millionaire Maker and is now looking forward to buying a house and an Aston Martin. He is also excited about pursuing a career in music after a difficult few months, saying: "I moved home with my mum and step-dad and tried to find a job but was having no luck so started working in a nightclub. Music is my real love and I want to work in music production but the million pounds is going to make my life a lot easier.”

EuroMillions HotPicks

If you are a UK player and want to become a EuroMillions millionaire, there are now a number of ways in which you can fulfil your fantasy. As well as the main game and the supplementary Millionaire Maker, you can also enjoy EuroMillions HotPicks. The new game, which launched last week, offers a range of different prizes up to £1 million.

Huge EuroMillions Jackpot

While Alex was lucky enough to win a seven-figure sum earlier this month, the EuroMillions jackpot has continued to climb and is now worth a spectacular £85 million. The top prize has not been given away since a family syndicate from Dublin scooped €38.9 million on Friday 29th December.

There were a total of 22 jackpot winners in 2017 and you could become the first of this year if you take part, either by visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries or by choosing numbers online. It is the final draw of the month tonight, and you can boost your chances by tapping on the promo banner at the top of the page. All you need to do is pick numbers online at Jackpot.com and enter the promo code FREELINE to receive a free line. Good luck!
